Problem
Flat floor slabs made of solid concrete demand a great deal of material and leave the rooms below with a flat, lifeless ceiling.
Solution
Span the floors as thin, gently curved shells that need little material and give the rooms beneath them a softly vaulted, more lively ceiling.
