Problem
When industry is hidden behind fences in remote zones, a town loses touch with its own production — work becomes invisible, and the industrial areas themselves turn into dead, forbidding stretches of land.
Solution
Arrange industry in slender ribbons running alongside major transport routes, kept open to view and interwoven with the rest of town life, instead of hiding it away behind fences.
