Problem
Children are drawn again and again to tight, hidden places sized for their own small bodies, not for adults. Ordinary rooms with high ceilings and open plans give them nothing that feels this intimate or entirely their own.
Solution
Build low, cave-like nooks — under stairs, inside wall recesses, beneath furniture — that children can crawl into and hide in, small and dim and scaled just to them.
