Problem
A room tucked under a sloping roof often stays dark and cramped — there is barely room to stand upright, and from outside the long, unbroken roof surface reads as heavy and lifeless.
Solution
Add dormers to bring daylight and headroom into the space beneath the roof, and let their shape at the same time break up the broad roof plane so it comes alive against the sky.
