Terraced Slope
Context Site Repair104 · Building Edge160 · Connection to the Earth168
Problem
Sloping ground often lacks any flat surface fit for building, sitting, or planting, and an untouched slope tends to slide away once the rains come. Left alone, a hillside stays either unusable or unstable.
Solution
Terrace sloping ground gently into level steps, so usable flat surfaces appear for buildings, paths, and planting, while the slope itself is held firm against erosion.
