Context Efficient Structure206 · Floor-Ceiling Vaults219

Problem

Pipes and ducts are usually sealed permanently into walls and ceilings. When something later needs repair or change, there is no way to reach it without breaking the structure open.

Solution

Run every pipe and duct through accessible shafts and hollow spaces — such as the unused triangle beside a vaulted ceiling — so they stay reachable and repairable at any time, instead of vanishing for good inside the building.
