Problem

Many gardens have no fixed spot that invites someone to sit and pause — a person only stands or walks through, without ever really arriving. Lacking such a place, the garden stays somewhere to pass through rather than somewhere to stay.

Solution

Set a sheltered, sun-warmed seat in the garden with a view over the whole of it, a spot expressly meant for lingering and settling into quiet.
