Problem
A door made entirely of glass offers no real shelter or privacy, while a door that is completely solid blocks every glimpse outside and reads as shut off — an important door built either way feels unbalanced.
Solution
Build the important doors heavy and solid, but set a pane of glass into them so light and a glimpse of what lies beyond can pass through, giving the door both shelter and openness at once.
