Problem

Rooms without their own outside wall often stay dark and cut off, even when plenty of light is available just next door; light and view stop dead at the next interior wall.

Solution

Set windows into interior walls as well, so that light and glimpses can pass from room to room, and even the deepest interior spaces are spared from falling into darkness.
