Problem
Housing is usually imagined around families; someone living alone often ends up with a shrunken leftover of such a plan, or a single isolated room. There is no room left for a complete life of one's own.
Solution
Design a small, complete dwelling for the person living alone — with space enough to cook, work, and receive others — rather than handing them a leftover room carved from a larger scheme.
