Problem
Where a footpath meets a road, the person on foot must yield to the flow of cars — waiting, rushing, stepping aside. The road stays the stronger space, and crossing it becomes an uneasy moment rather than a natural passage.
Solution
Build every crossing where a path meets a road as a slightly raised, clearly visible place where pedestrians plainly hold the right of way and cars are forced to slow down, so you can cross safely and without hesitation.
