Problem
If a building offers only one kind of place to sit, it rarely matches the mood of the moment — sometimes people want to sit in the middle of things, sometimes quite apart from them. A single uniform sitting area cannot serve both needs at once.
Solution
Scatter sitting places of different character throughout the building, ranging from lively and sociable to quiet and withdrawn, so that whatever mood someone is in, a fitting spot is ready for them.
